He joined Allende & Brea in 1993 while still a law
student. He received his law degree from the Universidad
Católica Argentina Law School in 1997 and became
an associate attorney of the firm.
In 2002 he received an LL.M. from Duke University Law
School, with a focus on corporate law and finance. In
2002/2003 he worked as an International Attorney with
the Global Corporate Finance Department at the New York
law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. In
2003/2004 he worked in Washington, D.C. as a legal consultant
to the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA),
an agency of the World Bank Group specialized in political
risk insurance, having participated in official missions
to Argentina and Guatemala.
He has advised clients in a broad range of matters,
including general corporate law, commercial agreements,
mergers and acquisitions, financing and restructuring,
foreign investment and political risk insurance, banking,
insurance, high technology and commercial litigation.
Mr. Sturla was named partner of the firm in December
2005 and is a member of the Bar Association of the City
of Buenos Aires (Colegio Público de Abogados
de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires).
